After 82 Farming...

Well, today was a day that I had all day to play. As mentioned in my last post, it pretty much started with 82 Farming. I had to do a ton of runs to get it all in but finally I did it! I decided that since I have no more limps that I would buy some white lily seeds. I went to the GE and 100k got me 8 skins and 8 claws. Woot 16 free nests!

I know these nests give allotment seeds but after I looted the 14 that were seednests, I ended up with a ton of watermelon, strawberry, and even a ranarr seed! Yay! Not to mention 8 lily seeds. I was thrilled. I also got 4 limp seeds. They took like 10 minutes to grow then it was lily time! Too bad I won't be growing limps for a while... Oh well. Getting tons of good allotment seeds will be worth it.

So after that I didn't know what to do. I got invited by a friend to charge some air orbs. So I did. 597 of them. That got me within 10k t0 78 Magic. Yay! After I finished it was time to get battlestaffs. I know this is not recommended but I buy my 64 for the day and the rest from the GE then sell back to the GE. So, I ended up basically putting all 5m I had into the GE. You can only get 100 staffs every couple hours so it will take a bit but I've already crafted and returned more than half of the 597. Actually, I alched 100 of them to get me within 3k of 78 mage. I then spent a little time earth waving skeletons across the wildy ditch and soon 78 mage was mine!
Woot! I can actually do stuff! Too bad it's PVP stuff that I'll never do... LOL my attack isn't high enough anyway... Fail 76 attack...

After that, I noticed that my total level was 1879. One more level! Quick! Last night I chopped ivy for a while with the sole purpose of getting nests and ended up getting a ton of XP. I was about 19k from 79 WC so I chopped away and watched Jinsr44's jig videos. Soon 79 WC was mine. That was so worth it.I had every intention to return to agility but I farmed instead. I got a ton of kwuarms and planted my first torstol among other things. I bought some secondaries for some herbs and sold some pots. I then bought 99 watermelon seeds. Ownage! Let's get this white lily party started! Of course all this was interrupted with the occasional selling of 100 bstaffs that I crafted. Maybe this will push me to get 88 craft. Who knows anymore lol. It's nice to train farming again but man I am missing my agility.

I had intentions of buying all the limps I need with the kwuarm I have now. I even put the Kwuarm in the vials. Then, after being successfully distracted by RS blogs my eyes started killing me. Herblore will have to wait. Sleep calls me...

Good night! Until tomorrow...

The Epic Farm Run

Today, in honor of getting 82 Farming (torstol time!!!!! wooooooooot!!!) I decided I would post my farm run. It covers allotments, fruit trees, bushes, Belladonna, and the calquat patch.

First, you need supplies. Make sure you're either wielding or holding:
  • 250 Coins
  • Explorer Ring
  • Dramen/Lunar Staff
  • Trollheim Tele (2 Law + 2 Fire)
  • Karamja Gloves 3
  • Falador Shield (for the farm boost)
  • Ectophial
Optional items are a Combat Bracelet for a Champion's tele, Teleport Crystal (for the Lletya fruit tree), and a Dueling Ring for quick banking at Mobilising Armies (close to a spirit tree).

I teleport by means of Spirit Trees, Fairy Rings, Ectophial, Karamja Gloves, and one rune-based teleport. I have a spirit tree planted in Port Sarim.

Now here is what you're going to need for a full run, seed-wise:
  • 5 Herb Seeds
  • 4 Flower Seeds
  • 24 Allotment Seeds
  • 4 Poison Ivy Seeds
  • 1 Belladonna Seed
  • 1 Calquat Seed
Optional- a sapling of any of the fruit trees and an axe.

All right! Now that we've got all that, the first thing we do is teleport to Trollheim and make our way to the disease-free herb patch. This patch is reserved for all Ranarrs and Snapdragons, but I use it as a narmal patch as well. I normally farm Kwuarm and Toadflax. Once this patch is planted use the Explorer Ring to go to the Falador Patch with the Cabbage Teleport.

OK, now we're in the land where much farming takes place! First, equip your Falador Shield 2/3 for a little XP bonus and harvest and plant the Allotment. Then run east to Draynor Manor, hop through the shortcut, and harvest/plant the Belladonna- making sure you're wearing gloves or you'll get "poisoned" and be unable to pick it. Yeah. It's potent stuff. After that make a slight jog west all the way to the Rimmington POH Portal and harvest/plant your Poison Ivy. Keep these berries and have the Leprechaun note these and any other items. Then run to the Port Sarim Spirit Tree (or duel ring to mobilising armies if you don't have one).

Once at the Spirit Tree, go to the Grand Exchange (or use a Combat Bracelet) and run down to the Champion's Guild bush patch. Pick the berries, dig it up, and plant the new one. Poison Ivy is immune to disease so you don't need compost. By the way you need a seed dibbler and spade for all of these... You probably figured that out though LOL :-) Now head back to a spirit tree by either running north, using the cabbage teleport again, or by teleporting to Mobilising Armies.

Now take the Spirit Tree to Battlefield of Khazard and run east to the bush patch near the party monk place. It's also near a possible Kandarin star location. Run back to the spirit tree after you've picked and noted the berries and replanted it.

Now it's time to start picking fruit. Take the Spirit Tree first to Tree Gnome Stronghold and pick your fruits. I have coconuts in all of these patches. If you're going to plant new ones each time, make sure you have a spade and an axe, plus payment if you want your trees protected. After this go back to the Spirit Tree and head to the Tree Gnome Village. Follow Elkoy out of the maze, head west, harvest/plant the fruit tree, and then run southeast, along the maze, to the fairy ring.

Once here, dial C-I-P. You're now in Miscellania. Run east into Etceteria and pick/plant the last bush patch. You're doing great! While you're here, water the dry patch and compost the barren patch to get your kingdom approval rating up, if you manage your kingdom. I keep my approval at 100% just by doing this with every run. Now head back to the fairy ring.

This time, dial B-L-R. Finally, another allotment! This code takes you to the Legends Guild so head west until you hit the Ardougne Allotments. Once you've planted everything, get out your Ectophial and empty it.

Now you're in Port Phasmatys. Run west until you hit the Alltoment patch and harvest away! Now it's time to activate those Karamja Gloves.

Now you should be under Shilo Village. This is where your coins come in handy. Make your way to the cart and pay 10 gp for a ride up to Brimhaven. Harvest the fruit from the tree right beside you and then run south through many trees and bitey plants until you arrive at the top of Tai Bwo Wannai Village. This is where the Calquat patch is. This tree is not chopped down like the others. You dig it up with a spade. Once it's in the patch, pay Imagio 8 of your poison ivy that you've been harvesting. You can either keep the fruit to make kegs with or you can chuck it in a compost bin where it counts as Supercompost. OK, now run back north and charter the ship to Catherby.

You're almost done! Once you're safely upon the beaches of Catherby head east and pick the fruit off the fruit tree. It's way against White Wolf Mountain. Then, run back west and head north of the bank where you then harvest the final Allotment. Congratulations, you are done!

So there's how I farm. Of course you can always alter it if you can't access something. I can't believe how well my earlier self planned this, so that I get 8 poison ivy berries before reaching the calquat tree. I get about 8-10k XP from this, not including the calquat tree, which grows quite slowly. Of course this become tons more if I planted fruit trees that are ready for their health to be checked.

Random Facts about my Route:

  • About Lletya, I only plant Papaya Trees there so I will only go there if I have a new sapling to plant. It's good too because papaya is payment for palm trees.
  • I always use supercompost for herbs and Belladonna, and compost for flowers and vegetables
  • I do normal tree runs differently, as I usually don't have a lot of seeds. I keep willows, yews, and mages. The mage always goes in Gnome and everything else goes in the other 4 patches. These I check randomly and re-plant as I am able. I cut branches off willows before I cut them to use for Ent pouches.
  • I get 99% of my seeds from my kingdom, which is maxed on maples. I get about 19 nests of seeds with every visit.
  • I use a Giant Ent quite a bit when farming because I get extra harvest on bushes, fruit, and Belladonna if I am lucky.
  • I almost always grow Limpwurt in the flower patch and Kwuarm in the herb patch.
  • I got 82 Farming today :-D That means I can now plant everything in the game :-)
I know this is a long post that is probably quite boring to non-farmers but I am a big believer of helping others in the game and being as informative as possible. I just couldn't do a post without a picture so here it is:
Yay! Garden Pie + Torstol = Herbs!!

Until next time...

Much Excitement

So... I ended up not getting 86 Agility last night because I got distracted. No worries- it came later. It all started when a friend was buying maples. I told him I probably had around 2k in my kingdom so I headed over there to pick up a few days worth of stuff. I got a red egg, blue egg, 13 ringnests, and 19 seednests in addition to about 2.5k maples. So, naturally, I went to the bank, sold the logs, and checked out my earnings.

I took the seeds out and only got 4 willows and a yew. The rest were all seeds that I sell. I was slightly disappointed until I noticed I had forgotten to empty one. I clicked on it, expecting an acorn. I got a magic seed. Woot!! I had by now hoarded enough palms, papayas, yews, and now a mage to make a complete farm run. So, I was off! Time to replant everything! Axes chopping away! Digging roots! Seedlings, saplings! Plant!! Within a few hours it was all planted- I got every tree ecxept one palm done (didn't have another palm seed), all yews and one mage, fresh herbs, some nasturtiums (ran out of limps), and even some potato and onion seeds!

If anyone is wondering, I have this all set up- All of my fruit trees are palms and I harvest coconuts on farm runs. The Lletya patch is the exception. It holds a papaya tree- perfect for getting payment for palms and for providing the bait for the Pawya (lol tongue twister). The gnome tree is always a mage tree and the other four are either yew or willow, and only maple if they are crashing and won't sell. Allotments are whatever I have and I plant poison ivy because it doesn't die and it's payment for calquats. I'll post my epic farm run sometime.

As a sidenote, while I was at the Varrock tree patch I decided to chop some ivy, to see what all the fuss was about. I watched as it went *chop, chop, nest*. Wow! Banana seed and another nest for the win! I think I will like this ivy.

So anyways... a few evil trees/stars later (they're not called distractions for nothing!), my farming was done. I then remarked in chant that I really wanted to borrow an Armadyl Godsword. My friend who happens to have one was on and he offered to lend right then. I couldn't pass that up! I got it for 2 hours and went to Soulwars where I used it on jellies and fiends. I got 7 zeal from that and knew excatly what to speand it on. I took three for Hitpoints and the rest for Strength. That gave me my much sought after hp level bringing it to 89, and bringing me to 115 combat. Woot! Of course, with a sword this ownage, I had to pose.
I finished off the loan by showing it off at a Legends/Bear Mine star. They told me to spec a bear so I did, with 30 seconds left. As I went to spec the second bear, it vanished. Aww. Man I love that sword!

I don't remember what I did after that until I went to bed and got up this morning. I got onto RS and went into Canting where I was surprised to find a ton of people. They were going to the Kalphite Queen! After a few minutes I decided I did want to go so I hurried over to the bank before realizing that I had loaned my whip to a friend. Luckily I have a friend with a Saradomin Godsword and she kindly gave it to me for 4 hours. By the time I finally got to the KQ, a bunch of people had died and they sort of stopped going. I think I managed to get a hit on the flying form because I got 20 laws as a drop... I got poisoned and was outta there, then found out nobody was going back.

Now I was stuck. I had 25k until 86 Agility but a SGS in my hands for 3 more hours. I decided to use it for my slayer task: Aquanites. I was getting really excited. I threw on my slayer helm, barrows gloves, Guthix dhide, and flippers (standard mage protection gear) and took the necessary stuff to the slayer caves. I got to try out the new shortcut too! Woot! The SGS worked quite well at aquanites and I was able to get through my 120 pretty quickly although I had to stop and fish a load of sharks because I ran out. I had 2 left and was out of food and everything so I had to make an "emergency" trip back to get more fish but I was fine and it was all good. I didn't get a range amulet, but I did get this killer picture:
After my aquanite task, which I finished with 10 minutes left on the sword, I got a new task- 180 banshees. Stuff that! I changed it and got 50 Scabarites. Woooot!!! So I grabbed my Keris P++, pray gear (sorta), popped in "Tune from the Dune" and made my way to the Contact maze under Sophanem Bank. I managed to hit one 44 on it. Yay! I had 5k until 78 Strength so it wasn't long before the fireworks came out and I saw this:LOL... 115 combat and 78 Str... I have 76 Attack still too... I'm starting to like this Strength skill.

At last I was ready to return to Agility, where I got this pretty quickly:

Finally, after a brief stretch where my server quit working and I was literally lagging out every 10 seconds, I decided to get a little Summoning done. I'm now 102k from 80. Yay! The first stackable thing I can do with class 5 clay in Stealing Creation! I can't wait! I think I have the golds and green for it... Oh well, back to Agility! My friend just got 92 so we ran some Barbarian until he had to go.

Until next time...

Top and Legs- Together At Last!

Dear Top,

I am so glad you found me! It only took you a few hours, unlike Legs who took a few days to find me. I gathered roughly 240k xp in the quest to bring you here and now here you are!
After briefly talking to Gunnjorn, you were finally united with me, and more importantly, Legs.
Finally, Top, you can occupy my top space in worn items and reside there in peace. You already make me look hawt, and quite leet as well! :-D You also have helped me to lose 12 kg. Hehe! Negative weight! I feel like I can take on the world!!!!! The world of Agility that is :-) Now I am 110k until 86 and that will easily be here today! Thanks you Top and warmest welcome to my pixels!

Love,
Full Of Pie

Woop Woop!

Today, exactly a week after I first set flippers on the Gnome Extended Agility Course, I did it. I got 85 Agility. Five levels, one week. Wooooooooot!!!! :-DThat last 150k XP seemed to take f-o-r-e-v-e-r but I stuck with it and soon it flew by! While I was running some agility, something did fly by. A cute little Dragon Implet was buzzing around. I snapped a quick pic just before Lorenzosanti, who was running agility with me this day, yoinked it. I don't think he looted so he is probably 300k richer.
It took a lot of running. I'm too tired to calculate how many laps I did but it took about 350 summer pies in total. Man, that's tons! It was so worth it though. It's truly a good course with wicked fast xp!! Plus, those Agile Legs are hawt!
Woot! I can now legitimately use the gnome course (lol) as well as use that stupid Arandar shortcut (that I walked around while getting lost at the limestone mine).

So at 85, I could finally move on to bigger and better things! I restocked on Summer Pies once more and set off for...
The Barbarian Extended Course! Huah! This one takes 90 Agility but of course, living up to my name, I am pie-ing it up and lovin it.
After doing a few laps, I noticed that this course is pretty fast! I also noticed right away that I don't fail the failable obstacle much. I maybe failed it a handful of times over the course of 26 pies. The only failable obstacle is the balance beam, which I got an adorable glitchy picture of. I got spaghetti legs!
The first two laps were rather slow because I was snapping pictures away, but I got possibly the best picture of me EVER sliding down the roof.
Is that not completely ownage? :-D

Of course, I had my camera out prepared to take a picture when I failed the obstacle. All I could do was scream, "Owww!! my [*Lady Bits*]!!!!"
Does than not make you want to cry? When I listened closely, my character makes a very strange noise upon failing. LOL!

In other news...

Name changes came out and the server overload caused me to lag out constantly last night. Ugh. A ton of my friends and people in the cc have changed their names. This is bound to get confusing. Hiscores is already messed up because you have to enter their new name and not their original name. Don't worry. I love my name too much. I'll never change it. Besides, I have a blog after my name! I was joking last night that our clan leader might change his name. He writes in ALL CAPS which shows up as every word capitalized of course. I logged on this morning and sure enough- his name was in all caps! ROFL!! Personally, I don't like this name changing thing but once the hype dies down it'll be ok. It's like quickchat kind of... Such a novelty.

Until next time, this is (and will forever remain) Full Of Pie :-)

Why I Play

Runescape is a game where people from all walks of life meet and interact. Everyone plays for different reasons. Some play to kill time. Others play because they like training skills, or the rewards from training skills. Others play it for the chat. Still, others play it for the minigames, quests, and activities that go on.

Why do I play? Obviously a combination of these things. Actually, in all honesty, the #1 reason why I play is this is my social outlet. I am a pretty anti-social person who actually prefers to be alone where I don't have to talk and where it's quiet. However, being totally isolated isn't really any fun so I chat. In my opinion, the clan chat feature was one of the best updates in the game. Before it came out I played a lot but I never really played with people. After it came out I soon joined a heavily advertised clan where I met some friends. It was cool to hang out and do some things with these people and talk about the game or even real life events. A few years have passed since that day and I switched into a different clan but with many of the same people. Nowadays I hop clans a lot in hopes of helping someone out or just talking to people. It doesn't matter what we talk about but I do love to talk! Maybe a little too much...

Of course I also enjoy the game a lot. The time and setting of the game is my cup of tea and I have loved learning terminology as well as style from it. I really love that I could do something different every day. I might feel like fishing one day or maybe I feel like playing Trouble Brewing. Some days I just want to talk to people and do whatever comes up. Maybe another day I may want to smith for fun and an hour later feel like raising my Slayer. When there is nobody to talk to, that's when I am happy that the game is there for me to do whatever I want.

Another reason I like this game is that it makes time go by very fast. If I have an hour to kill I'll pop into RS and do something like a farm run. I am definitely addicted to this game and play too much but you know what? Right now it's what I want to do and I'd have it no other way. If I do get a little bored of RS then I go do something else. It's not like I am a slave to the game. However, the last time I didn't log onto RS for a day was back in June. I love this game that much. It's perfect for me and I'm perfect for it. I go to school and have things to do too. It's not like all I do is play.

So there it is. That's why I play. It's my social outlet. I also enjoy every aspect.

In other news, I got this today. I know, I can hardly believe my eyes either! 1873 total o.OI again have a very short school day tomorrow so have your eyes peeled for 85 :-D Wow, 83-84 took ONE DAY. Let this be a motivator for anyone going for 99. I'm not kidding. It really is that fast.

Until next time...

Recognized and Famous

I knew it was bound to happen but not this soon! Yesterday I was getting ready to run some agility after a meaty, size 7, Mos Le Harmless star, when someone with a trimmed mining cape ran up to me from the fruit tree patch shouting my name. I was trying to think if I knew him when he said those magic words: "I love your blog!"
I am now officially famous and thanks to Massecure360 I've had my first run-in with a fellow blogger :-D

Until I level agility again, this is Full Of Pie- now recognized :-D
